I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with 15 days old Rory. At a little of six pounds she is so petite…and super sweet! It was so much fun capturing images for her first official photoshoot!

Little B was back today for his 4 month session. If it is possible, he’s even cuter than ever! Those big blue eyes are just to die for, and he was quite proud of himself for holding himself up on his belly! And his laugh…sweet little belly laugh and squeals of excitement!! I loved every minute of hanging out with him today!

I’ve got a handful of boys turning four months old on the baby plan right now, and today I got to meet with the first little guy. You’ll remember Mister G, he was a perfect little guy for his newborn session, and certainly did not disappoint today!

At 4 months, he is smiley, happy, and seriously cuter than ever!! I couldn’t believe how much he looks like his mama! What a fun way to spend the afternoon!!

It is always so much fun to travel and meet new up and coming photographers! They have an amazing spirit about them and a passion to learn – makes the old school teacher in me very happy!

I spent the better part of last week traveling through south and east Texas mentoring. I love that part of my job! We had some crazy weather – sunny then terrible storms followed by snow! Needless to say my mentees had a chance to shoot in some pretty crazy weather! Just wanted to share a few from our models shoots – we had some gorgeous kiddos! I met this family almost one year ago. The girls had just come home the NICU and were ready for their close-up. They were 14 weeks old and sweet as can be. They were also my first set of newborn triplets to photograph…talk about a workout!

During a recent session with my triplet babyplanners (seen here), I learned that one of the girls from that session almost year ago was sick. Very sick. I emailed their mom, asking if I could come a document the time they have left as a family of 5. There really isn’t any way of knowing how long Piper, their biggest at birth, has left on this Earth and I couldn’t imagine what this family is feeling right now. All I know, is that creating memories through the lens is my purpose in life, and that every family deserves to have their moments captured.

So yesterday I headed out to Dallas to see the girls – now a little over a year old. I couldn’t believe how big they had gotten! Andi and Bella are everywhere – crawling, crusing, laughing, and showing off their two bottom teeth. Piper is in a word…stunning. She has the most perfect Angelina-Jolie-lips and eyelashes that go on forever. I couldn’t stop photographing all the details that make her, her.

If you are the praying type – like me – then please do me the favor of keeping Piper on your heart. And pray for her family, that they might feel God’s hand and find the strength they need during this time. I know I will be.

Mom and Dad, thank you so much for having me out yesterday. For letting me spend the afternoon capturing your girls…your three gorgeous girls.

Today was one of those kind of sessions…the ones I feel in my soul, the ones that will linger with me as long as I live. I’ve known this family “forever,” almost as long as I can remember – and the sweet little red headed 3-year-old is my son’s best friend.

Kim, or Mawmaw as she’s better known is an amazing woman. A lady with more strength and FAITH than anyone I have ever met. And she is fighting an incredible battle. Tomorrow, on her birthday, she’ll have surgery…and she needs all of us to be praying for her, for the doctors, and for her kids.

I know many of you read this blog…so I’m hoping this call to pray will add many more to her prayer chain. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I have a slew of babyplanners hitting the 3-4 month mark – and I am so excited to get to see them all again! Little Miss A wasn’t too sure about my camera, but managed to give us an adorable set of images anyway!!
