you can’t live
in Texas
and not partake
in this
tradition.
bluebonnets
are amazing
in their own right,
but throw a lake
and some
sunlight
into the mix
and it’s down right
magical.

these boys are
obsessed
with airplanes.
I found this old
vintage
airplane museum
in fort worth
and we set out for a
family fun day.
to say they loved it
would be
the understatement of
the year.
every day since
at least one boy
has asked
for a
return trip…
soon,
sweet boys,
soon.

don’t forget to check out the other amazing talent in this group, starting with Katiusca Guzman, Central New Jersey Portrait Photographer
having lived here
more than 20 years,
I’m Texan
for sure.
but I don’t do the
State Fair
or Big 12/SEC athletics.
I don’t have big hair,
own cattle,
or live on a ranch.
when it comes to
wildflower season,
however,
I couldn’t be
more
Texan.
this year
my boys
have played in,
and mama’s documented,
indian paintbrush,
mustard weed,
red bonnets,
and the all-too-famous
bluebonnets.
it’s a Texan right of passage,
and one my boys
will experience
year after year.
