this is definitely my favorite from the session…simple moment of “I’m gonna get you” turned precious memory. swoon.

while a trip

to Paris,

a sweet baby sister is

truly amazing.

thirteen years ago.

we were sophomores at

Penn State

and found ourselves

in the same pledge class

for an amazing sorority.

Zoe’s daddy is also a

Penn Stater

I’ve known

more than a decade.

Zoe,

well she is

perfect

in every way.

just under seven pounds of

full lips,

deep blue eyes,

and the longest fingers.

her mom and dad are

head over heels,

totally smitten,

and counting their

blessings.

life is just about

perfect

at this moment.

her two sweet cousins stopped by for a bit…

sweet boy,

your eyes slay me.

that stubborn streak,

makes it

all the more rewarding

to catch a grin.

you are perfect

and so

incredibly

loved -

mom & dad are obviously

smitten…

can’t say I blame them.

and the blooms are

already making

their appearance.

I owned a small

Canon outfit.

I then,

had a loaner through college,

property of La Vie,

that I used to capture

Penn State football

on the field.

I was using film

regularly

until the big boy was born.

my cameras collected dust

as the DSLRs starting

finding a home on my shelves.

but

I miss

film.

really truly deep in my soul

miss it.

the darkroom,

the look,

the feel,

everything.

I’ve started shooting more film

for personal work

and every time my scans

come back

from RPL

it’s like Christmas morning.

all shot Ash Wednesday. NO additional processing!

and where’s

the little guy,

you ask?

behind me

throwing a full on,

people were staring,

the big boy was embarassed,

tantrum.

all because

he dropped his snack

in the tall grass

and couldn’t find it.

never. a. dull. moment.

knew each other

in high school.

she now has a

gorgeous,

God-fearing family,

and she asked

me

to capture them together

as her son

turns one.

it was quite the

honor.
