I love firsts…there is something so special about getting to share them with a client! Today were the first sessions of the year for me…a newborn session - his first official session and a first birthday session! So much fun!

You might have noticed a change or two to the blog when you logged on today! I am so excited about the updating and the lauching of my new branding! It follows the same color scheme, but is finally something I truly love and hope to be able to use to brand my business for the duration!
You’ll notice the website will be undergoing some changes in the next couple of weeks. Most importantly I’ll be separatimg my current website into two - one exclusively for newborns and maternity and the other for children and families! I can’t wait to show these new wonders off! Look for updates here after the first of the year…I promise you are going to love them!
I had the pleasure of meeting up with a photographer from East Texas on Saturday. She and her son wanted some Christmas pictures (Daddy had to work!) - so we headed to Deep Ellum for a little urban mini session! What fun! Beth and Matty were up for anything!
Just wanted to take a moment to wish all you a wonderful and blessed Christmas this year. Our tree is up, the stockings hung, and tonight we are venturing out for our annual drive to see the lights complete with hot chocolate and Christmas music. I can’t wait to see my son’s face Christmas morning…I think he is finally going to get it this year.

Meet Jack.
Five days old. Ten pounds. A total dream to photograph.
He also happens to be my newest nephew!
And an update on the {comments for cans} - I am up to nearly 30 cans in just a week! Keep those comments coming in, the local food bank needs you! 
Meet mister L, four days of pure delight! His mom is this gorgeous lovely from a few weeks back. He wasn’t too sure about all the posing we wanted him to do - but he was too precious, and we got some great stuff!
I’m jumping on the bandwagon - or the “canwagon” - photographers across the world are taking some time to do something great for our local communities this holiday season. So here’s the lowdown…leave a comment on my blog, this post or ANY other post and I’ll donate a can of food to the local food bank.
The comment-a-thon will go on all month, and I’ll make drop off to the Roanoke Food Pantry weekly - they are desperate need of food this winter! I have had a very blessed year in my business, and I can’t think of a better way to give back to the community!

The holiday sessions are all wrapped up - cards and gorgeous prints have been delivered and I can take a short break, at least until this weekend! That’s right, starting Sunday I’ll have five little newborns to photograph over the next two weeks! I’m in heaven! Total and complete HEAVEN! So while the blog might be quiet for the next few days, it won’t be for long! Merry Christmas to me!
And because I can’t post without a picture…here are a couple of my sweet little man (who will be 2 this month!!) from snack time today!
All my summer baby planners are hitting the three and four month mark, which means I get to spend more time with them! Little Miss M was all smiles when I arrived, and totally not sure about the camera during the session! Check out that most adorable furrowed brow!
