that’s all he gave me

to fire off

when we stumbled upon

this amazing

new location.

but I’ll take it.

and where’s

the little guy,

you ask?

behind me

throwing a full on,

people were staring,

the big boy was embarassed,

tantrum.

all because

he dropped his snack

in the tall grass

and couldn’t find it.

never. a. dull. moment.

Susan and I

knew each other

in high school.

she now has a

gorgeous,

God-fearing family,

and she asked

me

to capture them together

as her son

turns one.

it was quite the

honor.

the light through the back door tonight

was magical.

of course,

it is because

something burnt

in the bottom of the oven

and the plumb of smoke

that escaped

when I opened the door

to retrieve dinner

filled the whole house

in a second.

but,

all that smoke

did make

for a lovely

hazy light…

and who am I

to turn down pretty light?!?

back for his

pushing up

he adores

mommy,

thinks

his brother

is

pretty neat,

and loves

the brightly colored

toy

I dangled over

my camera.

psst…I’ve told y’all I adore my baby planners, right?!?!

today,

a long time client

became a

US citizen.

it was the

most wonderful

thing.

people cried,

myself included.

little kids waved flags.

camera flashes

were firing

everywhere,

no one dare

miss this

moment.

this country really is

amazing,

the eighty-five people

from

thirty countries

who said the oath today

would most certainly

agree.
