it’s busy season.

I’m behind

in blogging.

I’m shooting

like mad.

there’s never

enough time.

but today,

I took

a time out.

I picked

my big boy up

for a date.

lunch and a matinee.

we giggled

over sandwiches,

his fingers

orange with

baked cheetos,

the weather,

just perfect.

the Lion King

and an icee,

he was in

heaven.

he insisted

on sitting

in my lap

during the movie,

so we

snuggled close.

he said

it was

his best

day

ever.

I couldn’t

agree

more.

this evening,

eric spent 5 minutes

shooting an

impromptu session

on the floor

while we played after dinner.

the little guy

still isn’t feeling so hot,

but the outtakes

are just as important

to me as the good ones

finally,

my two best gifts

ever

on my birthday

this was an amazing gift.

meet Finn.

the big boy

has been saving

every dime

he earns

for a beta fish

(and all the supplies).

this morning,

there was finally

enough money

in his wallet.

he carefully looked

at each one,

scouting for the perfect

penn state blue colored fish.

he found him,

and a tank,

and food.

he marched to the front

opened his wallet

and gave the clerk

his life savings.

he’s never been happier.

(Finn was named so, not only because he has fins, but also because the big boy is a die hard CARS fan, and Finn McMissle is a favorite!)
