day twenty nine
it is almost
the end of the month.
just one more day
in this series.
it,
for me at least,
has flown by.
the boys have
a new game,
basically,
the big boy
drags the little boy
around the room.
sometimes it
is the simplest thing,
that makes them
the happiest.

day twenty eight
we took advantage
of the gorgeous weather,
to get the little guy’s
birthday invite pictures done.
the big boy
definitely earns his title
of assistant.
he smoothed the blanket,
jumped around
like a crazy kid behind me
to get a smile,
and even sang to
garner a grin.
I really should pay him.
and we got
some real gems
of my almost
one year old.

day twenty seven
i love living
so close to the park.
the boys love it too.
a quick walk,
and we’ve got
a pretty great playscape
all to ourselves
most days.
the big boy rides his bike,
and the little one is
in the BOB.
sometimes the helmet
never comes off.
they can swing
for hours,
and the big boy
loves to push the little guy.
he talks to him,
laughs with him,
each boy with a grin
from ear to ear.

day twenty six
I love gymnastics nights.
they are a little bit of chaos,
but lots of fun.
sometimes,
to beat traffic
we are a few minutes early.
it’s on those days,
that my heart sings
the most.
the big boy crawls over
to entertain
the little boy.
there are giggles,
and squeals,
and little bits
of delight.
music to this mama’s ears.

the little guy
is learning to walk.
he’s cruising
everywhere.
the big boy
is his biggest cheerleader.
always encouraging,
helping,
and supporting.
the little one
gets so excited
when he gets going,
and he loves
when the big boy
cheers him on.
