It’s that time again…

October 2010 | Cerulean

From Melissa (photo left): october is warm applesauce simmering on the stove, the sweet smell of pumpkin goodies in the oven, and the anticipation of one 3-year-old superhero as he waits all month to say, “trick-or-treat…”

From Shalonda (photo right): october is when we start drinking hot coffee again, the morning start to get chilly and it’s the last month of rising with the sun…soon enough our clocks mover back, we wake up in the dark, and add more blankets to our beds

It’s always bittersweet when a baby planner turns one…but Carter has had quite the year, and I’m so glad I got to spend it with him!  I know mom is probably dying for this sneak peek, she’s a self-proclaimed MZP blog stalker…and well this shoot was Thursday, and waiting two days is an eternity, I know!! :)

Carter’s mama knew she wanted to be out in a field with pretty light, and Carter braved the coldest morning the of year thus far for the session.  He loved the tall grass and my chair…he was so sad when I packed it up for the day.  He could not have been sweeter for the last session in his year.  It’s been a honor capturing his first year.  Thank you mom & dad…I just love you all.

When Jennifer contacted me earlier this year to possibly photograph her wedding, I wasn’t looking to add any more weddings to my already full fall calendar. But then she mentioned it would be a small, intimate ceremony with just close family in the middle of the week, and I was sold. There is something so awesome about watching two people exchange vows they’ve written themselves in front of just a handful of people in a brand new chapel tucked away in the woods. Quite picturesque and totally romantic.

Venue: Ashton Gardens, Corinth

I’m still what feels like a million sessions behind on blogging – and I promise to get caught up this weekend, but I couldn’t wait another minute to post some images from this morning’s session.

I meet Kenzie when she wasn’t even two weeks old, and each year I feel so lucky to be able to capture family images for them. This year when mom and I started talking about the session we had something entirely different planned, then she posted a picture of a dress on FB she was buying for an upcoming formal function they are attending, and the wheels started turning. Instantly I went to their gorgeous gown in a field filled with tall grass and pretty light…and well mom was totally on board. I seriously love clients who trust me completely to style a shoot, I promise you won’t be disappointed! Case and point…

I’m so excited about a new venture for MZP…fusion sessions!  Fusion sessions are a combination of video and still images captured during a lifestyle session in your home or on location.  They are going to roll out formally at the start of the year, but in the meantime I’m lining up some current clients for complimentary fusion sessions before the year ends.

Yesterday was a bit overcast, and my boys were playing the living room after nap…little bits of sunshine were seeping in the back door, and my little bits of sunshine we taking it all in.  I couldn’t help but pull out my camera to capture of few minutes of sweet perfection.

Fusion sessions produce a 3-5 minute DVD of the video and stills captured during the session, as well as a DVD of all the still images.  The video below is just a little sneak peek of what is in store for MZP in 2011.

If you are a current client interested in a fusion session for your family in November or December 2010, shoot me an email, I still have two spots left for this complimentary session!
