Sweet Carter is 6 months old! I can’t believe how quickly time flies when I am capturing babyplanners! Those big blue eyes are just to die for, and his grin is particularly adorable with his two bottom teeth peeking out. I had such a fun time capturing him in the Stockyards today…and Carter loved playing in the dirt. I was pretty sure mom was going to have heart attack as her sweet (and clean) little man dug his tiny fingers into the dirt, rocks, and leaves found in the bricks on the floor! He LOVED it!
And for the photogs reading my blog, since I always get emails about my settings, these were taken with my 85L. Color images at F1.6 and the B&W at F2.0. Love that lens!

Another gorgeous morning at the Arboretum…four gorgeous families captured! Just had to share two little ones from today…
Miss McKenna has never had her own session, she’s always shared the spotlight with her sweet brother Riley (a recent babyplan graduate). Today was her day to shine…

And then there’s Harper. She was my spunky one today, making sure I remembered she was there as I tried to capture her twin brother and big sister too! Mom and Dad were troopers…chasing kids should really be an Olympic sport.

The Tulips minisessions are in full swing…I got to capture several cuties today! Can’t wait to finish this awesome week of limited edition mini sessions!
Little Miss A was just adorable! Having just celebrated her 1st birthday, she is full of personality! Thanks mom for bringing Mimi and Great-Grandma with you – I had a great time capturing you all!

I met my first “Giving is Awesome” winner on Thursday. What an amazing family they are! Two adorable tweens, and a mom and dad so in love with each other it makes my heart happy!
Fayla and her family were nominated by their friend Holly. Holly wrote about some of the hardships that have plagued this family over the years, but how their unwavering faith is a true testament to the amazing people they are. In her letter I learned how much Jacen, Fayla’s husband, does to help his family. I learned that Fayla has cystic fibrosis, and is one of the oldest living patients with her original lungs, that she’s had 36 surgeries in her 34 year of life, and that she is a true woman of God.
From Fayla: “To say it has been an easy journey would not be a true statement, but I can say that God has been with me every step of the way. I have been so blessed with an amazing, faithful husband and two beautiful children. I was told that my bearing a child was very slim, but my son is a testimony that “they” don’t have the whole picture.”
Fayla and her family were so much fun to photograph – they were up for anything and the kids even brought an outfit that was “all them.” I love when a kid’s personality shines through! And Fayla and Jacen were excited to also get some images of the two of them together – celebrating their love. I’m excited to share this family with my blog family, and thank you to Holly for nominating such a deserving family.
